Dr. David Gruder is a psychologist, award-winning self-improvement author, and captivating speaker who speaks, trains and consults worldwide on integrity development and enhancement.
According to The New York Times on July 2, 2008, military trainers who went to Guantanamo Bay to train personnel in interrogation tactics taught their entire class around Chinese communist tactics from the 1950s that were denounced as torture and were determined to have produced false confessions from American service men.
I make a point of being on the e-mail lists for both the McCain and Obama campaigns. I make a point of listening to conservative and progressive radio. I don't do this to hurt myself (though sometimes it does feel that way, I must confess!). I do this because as an Integrity Analyst in this Age of Spin I feel an obligation to be aware of the spin being generated by both ends of the dysfunctionally polarized political spectrum.
The next phase of the race to become the next president of the United States has begun. View the following two speeches by the presumptive Republican and Democratic nominees for US President in 2009. Both speeches were given on June 3, 2008.

The upcoming 2008 U.S. presidential elections are widely viewed, both within the U.S. and internationally, as being more important than any in recent history. This provides all of us with a particularly valuable opportunity to re-evaluate the touchstones we use to decide which candidate we will support.
This blog post is the first part of a periodic series exploring those touchstones.
This post identifies two fundamental and intertwined assumptions about candidate selection:
LOS ANGELES, May 23, 2008 – A new prize has been announced in an emerging scientific field called “epigenetics,” the study of how influences from outside the cell can activate genes. Called the Epigenetic Medicine Award, it honors a researcher or physician who has used the principles of epigenetics to produce a significant breakthrough in medical understanding.
Del Mar, CA—May 18, 2008— Members of San Diego’s literary community gathered Saturday night for the Fourteenth Annual San Diego Book Awards (www.sdbookawards.org), honoring the latest crop of best books by San Diego County writers.
Despite John McCain being the presumptive Republican party nominee for the next president of the United States, there is one Republican candidate who has not yet dropped out of the race: Ron Paul. The video below provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse into some startling statistics about his exposure that appear to call media integrity into question in terms of their candidate coverage.
